The British prime minister Gordon Brown tells the media that he looks forward to the first prime ministrial TV debate ever in the United Kingdom:
I’m looking forward to it. It’s a chance to talk directly to the people.
It’s a chance to talk directly to the people in this country.
[Interviewer asks if he is nervous.]
I don’t anybody goes into something new without feeling something about what’s gonna happen, but equally it’s a chance to talk to the country. I’ve been looking for this chance, to get my chance to talk directly to the people in this country. And that’s what I’m gonna do.
Glad we have finally straighten that out.
