Why Britons never succeed in Wimbledon

One response to “Why Britons never succeed in Wimbledon

  1. A country that just allows rich and/or noble players on the tennis courts will never find talent enough to compete with more free thinking parts of the world.
Once I followed a friend to a typical lawn tennis club in South of England. My sportshoes had some small red logos which made it “forbidden” to enter the court. They asked me to borrow some forgotten 100 % white shoes from the locker room. Of course not correct size and rather dirty but the dresscode was now fulfilled.
I think, even for the future, english people have to pretend that players from Scotland belong to England to make sure there is at least sombody in the top.
